As a result of the profile they had established at Marketing Week magazine, Design and Print Centre’s Ian Whiteling and Pete Roythorne were asked to layout, write and edit a special marketing supplement for The Times newspaper on corporate meetings and events. As well as researching and writing a mix of news and in-depth articles reflecting the current state of the corporate events industry, the fastest growing area of live marketing, Ian and Pete also incorporated the new design template into the page layout, taking the look and feel of the supplement closer to The Times’ brand style.
The supplement led with the latest news in the corporate events field, moving on to tackle key issues vital to the planning and production of live marketing, such as technology, branding, venues, destinations and measurement of effectiveness. Ian and Pete handled every element of editorial writing, layout and production, delivering a finished supplement ready for pre-press print preparation.
